Crowds showed up for CHHS annual Week of Welcome event

It was Fun in the Sun for College of Health and Human Sciences (CHHS) students who attended the college’s annual Week of Welcome event on Aug. 19. With East Lagoon as the backdrop, dozens of faculty and staff welcomed new and returning students and celebrated the start of the fall semester.

“It’s such a fun, informal way to kick off the new year and welcome everyone back to campus,” said Nicole Holland, CHHS academic advising director. “We always have a great time interacting with our students, staff and faculty.”

Associate dean for Academic Affairs, Michael Kushnick, shared the sentiment.

“Overall, it was a great way to start the new academic year,” Kushnick said. “Thanks to the CHHS advising team, especially Krystal Collins, Liz LeMay, Ashley Rauen and Stephen Hansen for helping to get the Week of Welcome event rolling and ensuring its success. It is going to be an amazing year.”
