Each month NIU Student Academy of Audiology sends volunteers at OakCrest Retirement Center in DeKalb with clinical professor, Dr. Diane ScheckLong. Members assist in performing cerumen management and clean and checks of resident’s hearing aids. Almost more valuable, however, is the chance to chat and connect with members from a different generation.
