NIU Student Academy of Audiology Daniel Romero, recently traveled to Reston, Virginia, in his capacity as a member of the National Student Academy of Audiology Board of Directors. While there, he and the other student leaders met with Academy heads, planned initiatives for the upcoming year, and discussed ways in which students can be a force for audiology advocacy and advancement. They also spent a day on Capitol Hill, speaking with government representatives from their home states on several topics, including the pending Early Hearing Detection and Intervention bill, which has not yet been renewed.
