Valerie Heneghan (’13) is the speech department manager at Easter Seals DuPage & Fox Valley. Heneghan, a speech-language pathologist with a master’s Speech-Language Pathology from NIU, provides evidence-based assessment and intervention for children and their families. She works with them one-on-one to diagnose issues including feeding/swallowing, developmental delay, Autism, apraxia, stuttering, voice, language, executive functioning, and articulation disorders.
She also reaches the community through blog posts she writes, including this one, “How to Talk to Your Baby: Tips for Parents Expanding Speech/Language Skills.”
