Students from NIU’s School of Allied Health and Communications shared their research projects at the Student Initiated Clinical Research and Application section of the Illinois Speech-Language-Hearing Association Convention in early February.
Communicative Disorders undergraduates Junilane Lusung, Elyse Szymanski, and Rebekah Salazar, alumna Sabrina Sparacino, and speech-language pathology graduate students Lauryn Bodemer and Megan Hennings shared their research with conference attendees. Their research covered a wide range of topics including the use of language sampling, syllabus structure level and vocabulary usage in toddlers, improving word finding skills in adults, and interprofessional education.
