Five students from the School of Nursing will be sporting new Littman stethoscopes thanks to a generous donation by 3M DeKalb.
“We are excited to be able to partner with 3M to receive a scholarship for a Littmann stethoscope,” said Mary Margaret Evans, program coordinator for NIU School of Nursing. “These stethoscopes will carry them through their schooling here at NIU and into their career as nurses.”
Kendal Only, Rachel Zeug, Alondra Valdivia, Jessica Almanza-Velazquez and Sarah Wagman were among students who submitted applications and were selected. Jonathan Klaczek, supply chain supervisor from 3M DeKalb presented each student with their stethoscope on Aug. 25.
