Melanie Regan was selected to present at the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics 2021 Food and Nutrition Conference and Expo.

“I am looking forward to showing the academy what I have been working on and I am looking forward to having a conversation with fellow dietitians and educators about my project,” Regan said.

Regan’s project, “FoodMASTER Small Bites: Creating videos to introduce food and nutrition science lessons,” is designed to assist grade 3-5 educators in introducing food and nutrition science lessons.

“The faculty in the Nutrition, Dietetics, and Wellness department take pride in mentoring their undergraduate and graduate students to excel in academics, research and community service,” said Henna Muzaffar, assistant professor and Certificate of Graduate Study in Eating Disorders and Obesity (EDOC) facilitator. “We are ecstatic to highlight the achievements of students like Melanie who have taken advantage of research and community service opportunities and are getting recognized for their work at a national meeting.”
